The Emerge programme was an arts festival model devised to involve and train young people across the Midlands in England to produce and deliver arts festivals for the public. Funded by the charity Spirit of 2012 and created and run by youth arts organisation, The Mighty Creatives, emerging young artists were selected to work with local communities and schools at multiple locations to bring the Shakespeare themed festivals to life. This Emerge programme ran each year between 2017 to 2019.
Reel Monkey Productions was commissioned by The Mighty Creatives for this period, to capture stills photography and film across some of the festival locations and produce a highlights video incorporating content from all the venues involved. Below is the short film for the 2019 festival edition and an image gallery with selected stills from across all the Emerge festivals.
